Well, Hello There!

Meet David Geen

David Geen, founder of Hungry Village Tours, originally created the parent company of Villas and Vines in 1995, specializing in culinary adventures in Italy, France, Spain, and Ireland. Since then, repeat customers have been requesting new culinary destinations based on our winning tour formula; hence Villas and Vines continues to expand its boundaries.

What David has been offering lucky guests all these years in Europe, is now possible in his hometown of Saugatuck/Douglas, the Midwest’s unique agricultural destination along the shores of Lake Michigan, with the creation of Hungry Village Tours! Michigan is now the second most diverse agricultural state in the country, after California. Allegan County, home of Saugatuck and Douglas, ranks #1 in Michigan for its variety and number of farms. Hungry Village Tours showcases the very talented artisans and superior-quality products to be found in Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville, and the lakeshore.

Join Hungry Village Tours as we explore
the lakeshore’s plate!

Hungry Village Tours begins each tour at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts, acknowledging its weekly Greenmarket and the Center’s history as a pie factory. There are two tours available daily from May through December. A Culinary Walk, exploring Saugatuck’s culinary secrets behind the storefronts with history, demonstrations, and tastings. The second option is a Delicious Drive, featuring a tour of the lakeshore’s producers including farms, orchards, blueberry plantations, vintners and creameries.
